Meet Dr. Gwenn
Dr. Gwenn Gaumond has spent her entire life in northeastern Connecticut; growing up in Thompson and graduating from Tourtellotte Memorial High School in 1995. She continued her education at the University of Connecticut and graduated in 1999 with a degree in Animal Science.
Gwenn spent many years as a veterinary technician working in research at the University of Massachusetts, where she solidified her love for research and surgery. Returning to the University of Connecticut, she completed her Master’s thesis in Lyme disease in horses and earned her Master’s degree in Pathobiology and Veterinary Science in 2006. After receiving her Master’s degree, she continued her career in research.
In 2012, she started her veterinary training at Tuft’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton, Massachusetts, graduating with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2016.
Dr. Gwenn has worked locally since graduation and now proudly owns both Dr. Gwenn Mobile Vet and Peake Brook Veterinary Center. She brings full-service veterinary care to Woodstock and the surrounding Northeast-area towns.
Dr. Gwenn lives in Woodstock with her husband Sean and their cats Rhys, Bailey, Milo and Jane. Gwenn and Sean spend their free time working on racecars and flying around the northeast in their airplane.
